Jon Wiant will speak on Imaginative Writing -- The World of Fabricating Intelligence
Dr. Wiant is Adjunct Professor of Intelligence Studies at The George Washington University and lectures at the Intelligence and Security Academy. He has held the Department of State chair at the National Defense Intelligence College. He retired from the Department of State as an SES-5 after 37 years as an intelligence officer. He has served as Assistant Inspector General for Security and Intelligence Oversight, Chairman of the National HUMINT Requirements Tasking Center, Senior Advisor for Policy to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (C3I), Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, and Director for Intelligence Policy on the National Security Council. He is on the Studies in Intelligence Editorial Board. In Vietnam, he was Base Chief for the Joint Technical Advisory Detachment in Hue.
